What Made This Project Demanding
ASM International's headquarters is not a generic office building. The facility's distinctive architecture · particularly the geodesic dome structure · creates unusual mechanical challenges: large, open spaces with complex thermal dynamics, historically significant interior spaces where exposed mechanical equipment would be inappropriate, and the institutional importance of the building to the materials science community. The project needed to deliver meaningful energy efficiency improvements without compromising the facility's character or requiring modifications that would conflict with its architectural integrity.

The Solution
How We Solved It
